My story so far...
My journey into game development was daunting due to the overwhelming learning curve. The support from students and professors was crucial in keeping me motivated. Seeking aid, the officers of Northeastern’s Game Dev Club (NUGDC) inspired and guided me, nurturing my creativity. Their empathy and willingness to help shaped my passion for game development. Sharing my experiences with our current head of the games program at Northeastern, Chris Barney, emphasized the importance of seeking assistance “when things got too big, too weird, and too uncomfortable.”
Becoming inspired by my mentors, I pursued the role of Social Chair and Scheduling Coordinator at NUGDC as a way to give back to the supportive community. It was fulfilling to serve as a welcoming presence for the club and Boston's game developers, fostering a lively game development community.
